Inspired principally by an upcoming trip to Slovakia, I've decided to keep a public account of (some of) my work. I anticipate several entries will be of the personal essay persuasion, and not all of them polished. But sharing the different stages of each piece should give me a chance to evaluate and improve the way I write.
Sharing my writing is difficult; it makes me feel extremely vulnerable, as if I'm open to the cross hairs of some very stern public opinion. Nevertheless, I encourage feedback of all kinds. Again, much of what's published here will not be completely polished; some entries may be chiefly introspection. But thoughts on my thoughts will still be helpful and productive.
When I am presenting a piece that I consider more or less "finished," I will designate it as such. These entries will warrant more critical review.
